This guide will explain everything that you need to know to optimize your experience with AdultMaven. After all, you want people to read your reviews where you can make money. The better you do, the better we do and vice versa.

About AdultMaven

 AdultMaven is a movie review site focusing on adult movies in conjunction with Yappo Videos on Demand. All reviews that you do are linked to Yappo (provided they offer the movie you review) through an affiliate program where you get commission off all sales that come from your reviews. You are always free to review any movies you have watched but keep in mind, in order to make money with AdultMaven people need to be able to find the movies on Yappo.

Every month, after you have verified that you are over 18, you are rewarded for your hard work by receiving free movies complements of AdultMaven. All that is asked for are reviews of the movies you are sent.

It’s that simple. You write reviews, people read the reviews and purchase the movie via Yappo and you make money. On top of it, you are sent free movies to review and keep as an extra incentive.

An important note: You have to write reviews to get movies. You will not get movies just for signing up. We do not pick what you review, you pick what you review. You even get some say in what movies you receive from us later.

Reviewer Guidelines

In order to help create a loyal following that trusts your opinion and acts on your advice you should always write reviews that are authentic and honest. This will lead to positive comments and good ratings for your reviews by readers and ultimately to more sales. Completing the Submit Review form:

Title: Provide DVD/movie title, studio and stars. Example: "Jenna gets off - Vivid studios - starring Jenna Jameson, Ron Jeremy and Amy Reid." You may leave out unknown details. The title should not contain more than 200 characters.

Summary: Brief summary of your feelings about the movie as a whole. Be honest and creative. Describe how you felt in anticipation of the movie, what you expected and lead the reader into the action part. Should not exceed one to five sentences in length.

Categories: Select up to 3 matching categories (Hold down the "Ctrl" key to select multiple categories).
Type: Use the "Full Review" option.

Page Title: The tagline for your review. Example "Jenna gets very naughty in a hot threesome."

Content: Your review should be between 300 and 5000 words long, not contain more than two links to external sites or read like an ad. Of course, it should also be free of grammatical and spelling errors.
  • Begin with a brief summary of the action, i.e. lesbian, MILF, teen, feet, etc. Continue with detailed scene by scene descriptions of the action using words associated with the niche. For example,
  • if it is a foot fetish film, you not only want to talk about the foot action, but also the legs, the shoes, the stockings, even the nail polish on the toes. Try to make this at least 300 words.
  • The Actors' Performance - Name the stars involved and the contributions they made. For example you can say: "The film stars Jenna Jameson as the hot wife, Ron Jeremy as her cheating husband and Amy Reid as the sexy maid they both wanted." "Jenna looked hotter then ever while..." or "Amy gave the performance of her life in..."
  • Closing Statement - A short recap and your final thoughts about the movie.
  • Rate the Movie - Rate the movie from 1 (worst) to 5 (best).
Helpful Suggestions:

Promote your AdultMaven page that contains your reviews. We aren’t saying send the link out to every member of your church; that is just asking for trouble. Put the link to your AdultMaven page up on your Myspace page or put it in the signature of your emails to those that you think would be interested.

Tell how you really feel about the movies. Yes, you want people to watch it where you can make money, but at the same time, if it’s a train wreck let people know it’s a train wreck. Look at the popularity of the movie One Night in China. It doesn’t get much worse than that, and because of that it was talked about all over the internet. The number of people who went looking for that movie “to see the horror for themselves” was astronomical. The movie isn’t popular because it’s a good movie. It’s popular because it’s not only a celebrity sex tape, but a bad one that should never have been made.

Do full reviews as often as possible. These are what are going to get you the free movies and the most traffic. You always have the option of doing a short review/summary but the more information you provide the happier the people that read your reviews are going to be.
