Something that I found interesting once the movie was popped into the DVD player was that it was written by Jessica Drake. I didn't know that she had taken to writing screenplays. I have to say, she didn't do to bad of a job. I didn't cringe or roll my eyes once because of stereotypical cheesy porn diologue.

After a bad date Jessica Drake decides it's time to do something to prevent others from having to go through the same thing. She takes it upon herself to start a "dating education service" since people don't know how to date. Dating 101 is the story of the people she helped (narrated by Drake), and how she found, what she termed, "the entire package", in the process.

The Bad Date:
Jessica Drake and Barrett Blade

The movie opens with the two of them having, as Jessica called it, incredible sex. Afterward Barret wanted to go to sleep and spend the day in bed and told her to go away. Jessica explains that she was sick of either getting dates, movies/dinner/dancing/etc, or incredible sex. She wasn't getting both and after Barrett's attitude it was time to move on and do something about it. She starts her business of teaching people to date.

My notes: I am banning all actors and actresses from getting tattoo work done. It distracts me. The first thing that I noticed in this scene was that Barrett had more tattoo work done between this movie and Dark Angels 2. I spent the entire scene trying to get a good look at it. I think that Savage Magazine or Inked should do an entire issue dedicated to the tattoo art of porn stars where I can watch movies and not be distracted.

Couple One:
Cassidey and Randy Spears

Cassidey seeks out Jessica's help because she never gets asked on a second date. Jessica wires Cassidey up where she can hear what is going on and talk to Cassidey and coaches her through the date, which starts with a dinner at a rather nice restaurant. Now, I have to wonder if the movie was written like this, or if this was Randy forgetting his lines or ad libbing and it was left in. He said, "I hear this restaurant has really good Viking food." Viking food. I want to go out for Viking food. We don't have any Viking restaurants in this area. Anyone have any near them? I don't care how far I must travel, I have to find out what Viking food is! Randy then asks her if she wants to get really drunk and drive in reverse all the way home. Obviously, he's a little nervous about dating as well. It all works out though because they end up back at someones house on the couch.

I am somewhat confused because Jessica is still "wired" but Cassidey isn't. Yet, from her car, Jessica can hear everything that is going on between Randy and Cassidey, gets turned on, leans her car seat back, and masturbates to the sounds of Cassidey and Randy having sex.

My notes: I have realized that I have watched too many movies with Randy Spears in them. I am starting to pick up nuances about certain actors and actresses in how they have sex. Randy always does certain things the same, like his finger fucking technique. It's his style as it were. All I can figure is that he hasn't gotten any complaints so he's going with what works.

Couple Two:
Marcus London, Lexi Belle

No! Not geek sex! Anything but geek sex!

Marcus sends Jessica a sex tape. Already I am disappointed. No self respecting geek would send a home movie to someone on tape, he would put it on DVD. No matter. As Jessica is watching the tape she is feeling good that geek boy found someone and got lucky. She's a bit surprised that he met a geek girl, at an internet cafe while participating in online gaming. Just goes to prove that there is someone out there for everyone. The geeks go at it at the kitchen bar and Lexi never takes off her glasses.

My husband was briefly appalled because he originally thought that Lexi was wearing pink and white Hello Kitty panties. Closer inspection proved his fears unfounded and he calmed down. Personally, I would have been freaked out too if she was wearing them. Then again, I also have an odd curiosity to find out how many Japanese pornos feature the Hello Kitty Vibrator.

Couple Three:
Jenaveve Jolie, Lexxi Tyler

Jessica has to teach them to share. They both have dominate personalities and want to rule the relationship. It's a constant power struggle. Here is the token lesbian sex scene complete with sex toys and strap ons. Once again porno physics comes into play where the sex toys appear out of thin air. At least this time around there is a nightstand next to the bed that you can theorize they came from.

Couple Four:

Brooke Banner, Tyler Knight

This is the sort of thing that would never happen in real life. I just can't see it happening. Marcus, the individual that Jessica is helping in this case, is out on a date. He is pretty much ignoring his date and flirting with the pretty blond, Lexi Belle, at a near by table. His date catches on to what is going on and throws her drink in his face and storms out. Lexi is laughing at him but invites him over. The next we see them they are behind the bar going at it next to the trash dumpster. Such a romantic setting. Uh...yea. Let's not even get into the potential smell.

Couple Five:
Chris Cannon, Jessica Drake

The happy ending for Jessica.  Chris Cannon, the stereotypical jock who really has no clue, was the first person to answer her "learn to date" ad.   He needed a lot of extra help and Jessica made him her special project throughout the entire movie.  Taught him how to dress to impress and how to dance.  She finally decided that he should also be allowed to be himself and figured out how he could incorporate sports into his dates.  They go to a park and play some one on one soccer, toss around a football, then he decides to teach her how to play baseball.  The worst happens, the bat flies out of his hands and almost knocks Jessica out and gives her a horrible black eye.

Chris takes her back to his place, apologizing profusely, and gets her some ice for her face.   One thing leads to another and sex happens.  Both Jessica and Chris are happy with how things worked out and the movie ends with them cuddled together on the couch, Jessica with her black eye, wearing matching sports jerseys and watching a game on TV.  Jessica is happy she found the "total package" that she was looking for.

I have to say that I am impressed with Jessica's storytelling abilities.  The movie was enjoyable to watch based on that alone.  It was billed as a comedy, but beyond the scene with Randy and Cassidey, the humor was very subtle making for a lighthearted couples movie with pretty straight forward vanilla sex.  I would almost go as far as to call it <shudder> a date movie.  A good movie to snuggle up with that special someone to get them in the mood.
