European adult films have a certain honesty about them.  The need for plot, a good script, creativity, etc. are often omitted in favor of getting straight to the pleasurable point.  They know what you want and they waste no time in giving it to you.  I respect this honesty.  However, in order for these films to be successful they need to be almost flawless. Well, I am afraid “Triple X, Video 11” from Private Studios is anything but flawless.  
     The film is a collection of heterosexual adventures set in short film format.  The separate films are called “scenes”.  Technically there are 7 films, but #5 is really a behind the scenes exploration of another Private film.  I like the short story format of the film.  It gives you an option for times when you need a short break, invest 10-15 minutes and enjoy yourself thoroughly.  One drawback is the dubbing.  The film comes in several languages with the option of additional foreign subtitles.  However, when you choose English as the main language there is no overdubbing.  The majority of the dialog is in French, no English subtitles, with the occasional English word or phrase thrown in for good measure.  This was a bit annoying at first, but the lack of English translation to what was likely a monosyllabic plot line did not hinder what enjoyment I took from the viewing.  Because there are so many stories, with a wide cast I will review what I think are the best and worst of the “scenes”.

Model Airplane & Fucking
     The best “scene” is  Model Airplane, starring Sasha, Alain Lylle and David Perry.  It opens on a quaint country scene where we find a couple outside flying a model airplane. A narrator briefly tells us that the couple will enjoy their 2 favorite hobbies, “model airplanes & fucking”.  This narration sets this “scene’s” somewhat kitschy tone.  The intro camera work has a bit of an amateur feel, but it is not too bothersome.  After landing their plane the gentleman leads the young lady inside to further examine his planes.  Given that this is a European production the fact that the gentleman speaks French seems natural, but why the woman answers him in English is bewildering.  Does she speak French?  Is she American?  Why does she find model airplanes so exciting?
    After a brief plane perusal the couple begins enjoying hobby #2: fucking.  Thankfully he takes his aviators sunglasses off while going down on her.  The camera work here is close, so if macro is your thing, this is the movie for you.  I did not care for the super close shots, largely because the cameraman was not the best at keeping focused while in this tight.  So you end up with close but fuzzy action.  A running theme throughout this film makes it first appearance here: razor stubble/burn.  I know it’s European, but for heaven’s sake get it waxed or keep it natural.
     There is some nice interplay between the two. Both seem genuinely interested in one another and the pleasure never seems faked.  Their play continues and moves into another room.  He carries her into the room, leans her up against a dirty 1980’s Dodge RAM van.  Seriously?  They couldn’t get a Porsche?  Two conveniently located pillows serve as ground cover for the continuing kanoodeing.  The sex is entertaining and still never feels fake or pushed.  It is honest about what it is and does not try to be something more impressive.  
     The only downside to the sex in this “scene” is the camera work.  As previously stated the cameraman has some focus problems, and when the action moves to the floor the abrupt editing became a problem for me.  At times it is a shot of fucking, straight to her sucking him off, back to fucking and so on and so forth.  I don’t necessarily need to be seduced with languid camera work but a smoother transition would be appreciated.  It makes for a more enjoyable experience.
     Our couple continues their fun as a newcomer enters carrying a wingless model airplane.  He puts down his plane and is welcomed into the fun with some head!  The jerky camera work gets hectic as the three move in and out of missionary, cowgirl/reverse cowgirl, oral and anal.   It is a challenging at times to keep track of who is doing what to whom.   Towards the end of the action our heroes cream our heroine’s Melrose Place worthy make-up job just in time for her to turn a cum covered smile to the camera.
     Given my seemingly large amount complaints about this “scene” I do think it is enjoyable.  This is largely due to the interaction of the actors.  When you get down to it that is the most important thing in adult film.  You need to be able to feel the characters are enjoying themselves, and genuinely interested in what, or whom they are doing.  The fact that I got this feeling from “Model Airplane” allowed me to overlook some of its faults.  There is also a college try made at a plot, which helps the scene transition and keeps your interest from waning. 

Roses with Razor Burn
    
     The choice for worst “scene” was tough, but Rose, starring Rose Dee P., Phillipe Soine, Alain DeLoin, Jack Slater, and Frank Versace, won the medal.   Where to begin?  The “scene” opens on a nondescript room where 3 average business-looking men are seated on a leather couch.  They are chatting amongst themselves, admiring the non-descript decor  and having a grand time. Just as one guy picks up and admires a knick-knack a nicely dressed man and woman enter.  Hasty introductions (handshakes) quickly give way to zippers going down and cocks going up.  The actress, wearing a somewhat matronly  black evening dress, is unclothed from the waist down revealing the only redeemable thing about this “scene”, namely the actress’s breasts.  They are large, lovely, and perfectly natural.  
     The unfolding action is shot with the same lack of smooth transition seen in “Model Airplane”.  Unfortunately, here there are two more cocks in the picture, all the more confusing.  The men partially undress and the guys switch in and out, this hole and that, each close up fuzzier than the next.  Keep in mind that all of this takes place on a leather couch.  Ouch!
     Throughout the “scene” there is little sexual choreography in that there is always one poor guy left out, sitting patiently waiting for his turn, quite literally and figuratively waiting in line! If you are going to put five people in one sex scene please give them something to do.  At one point one guy in a blue shirt holds his increasingly flaccid penis in his hands in a desperate attempt to bring it back to life so he can get his 15 seconds of fun.  And who can blame him?  If I were 4th in line for nooky, I would be soft too.
      Just as she takes it doggie style you get a nice close up of the pimple on the actress’ ass.  Seriously?  This combined with her razor burn was a bit mind-boggling.   You would think that, in addition to an on set fluffer, they would have an intern keeping an eye on ass acne.
     This thankfully short “scene” ends with the female lead on the floor, ass propped up on the couch, as the guys stand on the couch in a jizm fest.   Each ones makes a valiant attempt at a “hole in one” cum shot from 4 feet away.  This scene was ridiculous.  I expected one of them to “get the shot” raise his hands above his head and yell,  “Score!”
     I did not like Rose for several reasons, but largely because the action felt forced, lacking in intimacy, or any real passion.  I did not feel like those making the story had put any really effort into the project.  It felt to me like someone dropped the ball.  No pun intended.  They needed another “scene” and the best they could do was this flaccid filler.

Know What You Are Getting, and You May Not Be Disappointed
     
     This review is I no way intended to make the best of a bad adult film or to give them impression that there is fabulous film making to be found here.  There is not.  I think this film is best geared to a male audience because of lack of any real attention paid to the female characters needs.  The women are here as dressing, or talking props in a sense.  But if this appeals to you and you want a quick break in your day, and do not mind poor camera angles, absentee storytelling and a soundtrack that bears a remarkable resemblance to that of “Beverly Hills Cop” then pop “Triple X Video 11” in and quickly turn to Model Airplane.  A second option is Africa Beach Fuck which is memorable for the lead actress and the lovely beach setting.  If you’re looking to get off to some honest fucking done by attractive people, then these two scenes certainly justify the purchase of the DVD.
