The Accidental Hooker

Marcus London has summoned Sylvia, played by Kaylani, to an apartment and pays her $500.00.  He explains that he is from London and doing a documentary on prostitution and its differences in different parts of the world.  As his sound man, Barry Scott, shows up Kaylani tells her story of how she got into the profession.

It was all by accident.  She met someone on line in a chat room.  They started talking, one thing led to another and soon they were having phone sex.  One day he told her he was coming to her city for business and wanted to meet.  He got a hotel room and she agreed to meet him.  Arriving early there was a key waiting for her and a million things went through her mind as to what could go wrong.  As she was ready to leave, thinking better of things, Marcus (Brad Armstrong) arrived.  After some wild sex she ended up spending the night with him, which she swore she was not going to do.  In the morning she awoke and he was gone.  The only thing left of him was an envelope on the nightstand containing five one hundred dollar bills and a note saying “For School”.  She met him several more times, and the same thing always happened, no matter how their dates started.  They never discussed the envelopes and she was able to justify the money as gifts from a lover.

Then it happened.  He flew her out to meet him and failed to meet her at the airport.  However a limo was waiting for her.  Upon entering the limo there was a stranger there telling her that Marcus could not make it and he would be her tour guide.  Instead of leaving the limo, she took the campaign offered along with an envelope full of money.  It was at the moment her life changed forever.  She took money from a total stranger (Deep Threat) for sex and performed right there in the car.  There was no turning back.  What was done could not be undone.

Marcus London asked many questions of her, some of them she answered, some of them she evaded because they were irrelevant.  Such as, if she could change that moment, would she?  She told him what was done was done.  Not that was any kind of answer.  She explained to him how in the beginning it consumed her, how the lust drove her and there came a point where she could not get enough.  How she could not wait until night where she could walk the streets looking for a trick.  She talked about how she had a lot to learn and how one of the other girls had clients that were into the voyeur thing and would let her watch where she could learn from the best.  On the nights she did not have any clients Victoria Sin would let her hang out with her and watch as she entertained clients.  One of those clients was Niko.  As Victoria worked him over Kaylani watched on, sometimes fingering herself, sometimes making out with Victoria.  When Niko came on Victorias back, Kaylani licked it off.

Kaylani talked about how she enjoyed couples.  She always knew when couples hired a hooker for the evening they had a few kinks.  The couple in question in this scene was played by Tommy Gunn and Shayla Stylez.  Italian food and sex in the kitchen on the counter rounded out that night.  She then talked about how some days it just gets to you but you can not get out of it no matter how hard you try.  It is in your blood and calls you back.

Marcus then wants stories about some of the weirder men she has turned tricks for.  There was Chris Cannon.  His thing was the opera.  He enjoyed getting hand jobs and wanted his climax to coincide with the climax of the aria.  It really is over when the fat lady sings.  Kaylani even said it.  What kind of weirdo takes a hooker to the opera?  Then there was the guy, Barrett Blade, who wanted a blow job in the car wash.  Why am I not surprised this was Barrett Blade?  He just strikes me as the sort that would have this kind of fantasy.

When not working, Kaylani and the other girls hang out at Deep Throats (I spent most of the movie mistaking this guy for Mr. Marcus).  At first I thought his place was a bar because of his characters name, but it turns out this was the guy that got her into her profession.  He was the guy in the limo that night Marcus did not meet her at the airport.  Sunday nights is usually the one night no one has any work, maybe because it’s the Sabbath and people are feeling too religious to pay for sex.  However at Vladi’s the sex and drink run freely.  She paints a picture of overflowing wine glasses and orgy complete with herself, Victoria Sin, Deep Throat, Mikayla, Devon Lee, and Derrick Pierce.

The interview with Marcus London ends with him asking her what she charges.  She wants to know if it’s for personal or professional reasons and he shows her his wedding band “Professional.  I can’t”

“It’s not like I haven’t seen one of those on a trick before.”  She does have a secret that she reveals, something that she seems almost happy to get off her chest.  A secret that she has been carrying around for sometime, unable to tell anyone.  The documentary seems like the right place to finally let it out and get it off her shoulders.

As I said in the beginning, the movie has one very interesting plot twist that you will have to watch to find out about, because I am not going to reveal it, but I will say it involves Kaylani's secret.  Not once during the entire movie was there any hint that would give it away so at the end it came as one hell of a surprise.  I have to give Brad Armstrong kudos.  His storytelling is showing much improvement over time.  His storytelling wasn’t bad to start with but much like a fine wine it has gotten better with time and The Accidental Hooker proves this.  In my mind, this is easily one of his best movies to date.
