I'm a 24 year old married woman in an open relationship, bisexual, and a writer. I love reading, especially about human sexuality. I enjoy porn and erotica of all flavors, especially because it opens my eyes to the variety of the human sexual experience! I'm pretty nerdy, but I've been told that nerd sex is the best sex. Who am I to argue with that? I love when women orgasm, and I love how visually stimulating fetish and bondage pornography can be. Hurray for corsets!

I love Flower Balm! Coming in a cute little pink box
decorated with flowers, Flower Balm (“specially formulated for HER pleasure”)
is a product released from Hot Pants Products INC in
I’m a huge fan of coochie creams – these are creams, gels, liquids, salves, balms, etc, usually with some type of peppermint or menthol, that, when applied to the clitoris and surrounding area, give the area a cooling/warming/tingling/fun/enhancing sensation. I first found out about these creams from a gift from a friend, and have been hooked ever since! When ever I get a chance, and have a few extra dollars, I try to keep my eyes open and if they aren’t too expensive, I love to buy them! They can be found in places as basic as Spencer’s Gifts, sex toy shops, lingerie stores, or even on-line. For women who love to masturbate, these are great enhancers, and for couples who like to make foreplay a little more intense, they can be great, too!
Flower Balm comes in a pretty little pink box, and inside is a pretty good sized tin – 1 ounce or 28 grams of Flower Balm for at or around ten dollars. I can’t speak for all, but I think this is a great price! One whole ounce for ten dollars is great, especially when other products offer a smaller amount of balm for a higher price. This stuff is effective, and affordable!
One of my favorite aspects of Flower Balm is the fact that it’s all natural. Yay! As much as I love these creams, I always feel a bit hesitant to use them because I’m not exactly sure what chemicals I’m smearing on my naughty bits (though, to be perfectly honest, this has yet to stop me!) I have extremely sensitive skin, so chemical sensitivity is something I need to be very aware of. So, for those with sensitive skin, contact dermatitis, eczema, etc, Flower Balm is a good choice because it probably (no promises!) won’t irritate you. Also, I just love knowing what I’m getting when I’m using a product – almond oil, coconut oil, beeswax, shea butter – all of these on their own are good for the skin in one way or another, anyway! So using the Flower Balm is like an extra special lotion. Other ingredients include menthol, peppermint oil, and citrus essential oils. My guess these are the key ingredients that give the body that oh-so-delicious tingling sensation. The other ingredients are for preservatives and other important things, but one interesting addition is ginseng. Ginseng is supposed to be good for human sexual health and vitality, so why not, eh?
The cute little tin is easy to open (like an altoids tin or something similar) and really pretty. The balm itself has a color and consistency much like that of petroleum jelly – not too hard you can’t move it around, but not too runny it becomes gross. It smells nice, too! Flower Balm is very minty and sweet and lacks any chemical scent that other coochie creams might have. Though the package doesn’t specify, I assume Flower Balm is edible? I haven’t tasted it myself, and the product isn’t marketed as this feature, so those who enjoy oral, be forewarned!
Instructions on the box say “apply a small amount to the desired area & massage into the skin until fully absorbed.” As they say in the south, a little dab’ll do ya. I’m pretty sure this jar will last me a long time, even with as “busy” as I get! You don’t really need to use that much to get the full affect. Just smear some on your finger and run onto the area of the female genitals that you want to be affected. It doesn’t take long to work – a few minutes at most. At first it seems like the effect is kind of weak – just a light warmth, followed by a gentle cool. The longer you sit, however, the more you start to feel the effects of the Flower Balm. Wait as long or as little as you like, and then let the fun begin!
I like to apply coochie creams right before I start to masturbate – it’s like my own little foreplay! Or, if I’m with my partner, I like to put some on just to make me anticipate our own foreplay even more. If you’re stuck for ideas, Hot Pants offers a tiny booklet of pleasure tips inside their boxes of Flower Balm. These tips are nothing shocking to the veteran sex addict, but can be useful for those who aren’t accused to masturbation or love making with a partner. Some suggestions offer insight into oral sex, simultaneous orgasm, and different sex positions. It may seem a bit girlie, but Hot Pants calls the women’s genitals her “Flower” in ever reference, and I think this is totally cute! It may seem a bit juvenile and goofy for some, but for me, it makes me feel like a beautiful pretty goddess with a special gift just for me and my own garden of delights.
Hot Pants also offers a partner product for their Flower Balm – Rocket Balm, a product for men. Maybe one day I’ll convince my partner to try it out, and we’ll see what happens when Rockets and Flowers merge into one!
All in all, out of all of the coochie creams I’ve treated myself to, Flower Balm is not the strongest in sensation, but definitely a great price for the amount of product they offer, plus, it works very well and quickly and it’s all natural! So far, Flower Balm might be, if not my favorite coochie cream, at least one of them. Yay!
