- Bottom Line: The Story Of J, has little to show for it's high production value. It's fake artistic treatment just serves to frustrate the viewer. But the lesbian scenes make the Story of J worth your time.

The story of J can be ignored but that's a good thing every now and then.. The Story of J DVD review.
When I worked as a bouncer at a Goth club in Boston there would be BDSM porn playing on several screens around the club on any given night. This porn didn’t have any real dialogue or story to it. It was merely, porn as decoration. This is precisely what I feel “the Story of J” could be used for, if it were actually BDSM.
The films promo lines say that it is “A shocking portrait of sexual submission”.
This is so far fetched that it could be bordering on false advertising, the “bondage” scenes in this film are so light and fluffy that it’s hard not to laugh at Jesse Jane’s inaudible cries of pain when she gets “whipped” by Justine.
Which brings me to my real problem with this film, the sound. Usually when you watch a decent porn, you need to keep at least one hand on the volume control, due to the cries of erotic passion that emanate from an actress as she’s getting plowed three different ways. Not so in “the Story of J” because director Celeste has seen fit to completely mute the actors and actresses for the entire film. That’s right, you never hear so much as a grunt a moan or a “fuck me” during the whole damn thing. In fact, if you were to watch this at work and nobody could see your screen, they would all think that you were doing was listening to some new Enya album. And for me at least, that takes a lot of the fun out of a good piece of porn. It turns me on to hear the girls cumming and I like the wet sounds of flesh slapping together. If I can’t hear any of that, it really ruins the ride for me.
The story of J should not be taken as anything more than a compellation of sex scenes that share the same actors and actresses. However, the writer/director of the film, Celeste, really shouldn’t be given credit for writing any of the film. For the simple reason that there is no story, and there is no dialogue. However I may be too harsh. Celeste is a talented director above all things. The sex scenes are amazing to behold and aside from the fake bondage and the cheesy inter-titles, you will be hard pressed to find a more quality grouping of lesbian sex scenes in one film. You get three way and four way lesbian scenes and a great hot tub lesbian scene among other things such as Jesse Jane being roped down to the top of the television.
All in all, if you feel like getting a good looking porn that can be ignored while you’re actually doing the nasty then this one might be for you. But if you’re looking for something to assist you in some one handed bandit time, then you may want to pass on this one because it may just put you to sleep.
