Jack Vegas and Veronica Rayne were kind enough to take an hour out of their busy schedule of movie/website shoots and running a new bar to spend time with us for a podcast interview.

Jack and Veronica have been married eight years, but that 8 years hasn’t been spent in porn. They met in the night club industry where Veronica was managing a night club and Jack was the head of security. They decided to get into porn together and sent in an amateur video to velvetesctacy.com and they were later contacted by a director.

They were both quick to clear up a big misconception that a lot of people have about being married and both working in the adult industry. It is quickly assumed by people who are not in the business that they are swingers. That isn’t the case. They look at everything as a job and the people they work with are very respectful of their marriage. Off camera Jack and Veronica have monogamous relationship.

Both Jack and Veronica told us that the important thing with being in the adult industry and working in porn is communication. Not that it’s not important in any relationship, but when your job calls for you to have sex on a regular basis with someone you are not married to, that line of communication is vital to keep the relationship together. It’s up to your spouse to tell you if he/she is uncomfortable with whom you are going to be working with or the type of scene you are going to be doing where everything can be addressed. The other thing is lying can’t happen. Those in the adult industry are pretty close knit and everything will eventually get back to your spouse.

Oxygen is the new restaurant and bar owned by Jack Vegas and Veronica Rayne. The 8 years they lived in Boston they were in the night club business so it seems only natural that they would return to it. Oxygen is “porn friendly”, with VIP tables dedicated to other members in the adult industry, Marcus London, Brooke Haven, Stormy Daniels and Delilah Strong, who have always been there for the two of them. It was their way of saying “thank you”. In the short time that Oxygen has been open it has already become successful, with a different theme every night and a non-traditional menu (meaning something other than the health food that is popular in California).

Porn Goes Mainstream

Slowly porn stars are being accepted by the mainstream public as legitimate actors and actresses. Veronica Rayne is one of those actresses that are finding mainstream success. A part in a Motley Crue video, a role in Spring Break 83 and Is There Beer in Hell, as well as joining the cast for the second season of the Fox reality show, My Bare Lady where she and fellow porn stars Brooke Haven, Casey Parker and Sunny Leone set out to manage a mainstream business.
