If you write it they will come...
That is only partly true. You can have the best written thing on the internet and no one will see it if you don't promote it. Search engines only do so much and they can always use a little bit of help. So, how can you promote your reviews?
1. Social Networking Sites. If you have an account at Myspace, Facebook, Xpeeps, Adultspace, Fubar, Bebo, Squidoo, or any other social networking site, don't be afraid to tell people what you do. Once I got over that I was surprised at the number of people (and a lot of them I didn't expect) to be interested in and look forward to reading my reviews. Granted, you don't have to worry about offending anyone on Xpeeps or Adultspace ;0). I have provided a banner for you to use and link to your AdultMaven profile.

Right click on the image and save it to your computer. Upload it to your own server or a free image hosting site like Flickr or Photobucket and link it to your account. If you are not sure how to do that, here is what the code should look like.

Please don't copy and paste that how it is, it will link to *my* account. You don't want that. The first URL in bold should be your AdultMaven profile link and the second URL in bold should be where you have the image stored.
To go along with putting up a banner on any social networking site or webpage that you have, you can also put a text link in your email signature line linking to your account page.
2. Social Bookmarking Sites. Ever wonder what this little thing is for in your account?

These are different social bookmarking venues. The idea of social bookmarking is to share websites with other people that you like. Everyone has their favorites to use. I don't use del.icio.us that much because I can never remember my log in. I have never used Furl, Reddit, Yahoo this Google bookmarks or Live Favorites. Technorati (www.technorati.com) is one of those sites that a lot of very sucessful bloggers swear by. I have not seen much traffic from Technorati, but it can't hurt to use it since it indexes every blog entry anyway.
Digg (www.digg.com) is awesome. I get a lot of traffic from digg. People usually need some prodding to help promote your site using digg, but once you submit something, you will see an increase in traffic from those people who hang out there.
StumbleUpon. (www.stumbleupon.com) is even more awesome than digg. You have to create a profile and download a toolbar. I have NEVER had spyware attached to this toolbar and it is widely used. Using your toolbar you rate sites that you like all over the net and other people see them and check them out. Upon submitting new blog entries to SU I have gotten hundreds and even thousand of hits. The trick to using SU is to use your toolbar and stumble other peoples sites and profiles and rate them. It gets attention and people will visit your profile and pass it on. Another thing about SU is don't stumble the same site too much or too often because it will get flagged and block you from stumbling it for some time. Make sure you stumble other pages as you are surfing the net.
3. I have found a way to integrate my movie reviews into my website. Originally I was reposting them but that ends up defeing the purpose in the long run. What I have done now is my site is set up to promote my writing and advertises my reviews. Each review has it's own blog page complete with title, cast, DVD jacket and my rating along with a banner similar to the one above linking it to that specific review. By tagging these blogs search engines find them and send them to the page, in turn I direct them to the original review here on AdultMaven. If you want to see what I did, here is the link for my website - www.pornwench.com.
My website has been submitted to numerous adult search engines that I get a lot of traffic from including Fetish Engine, Adult Blog Hub, Booble and a number of others.
4. Come onto my internet radio show on BlogTalkRadio and talk about your movie reviews. 764 people have listened to the first show and 156 people have listened to the second show (which was done Sunday) so far. I have already had people tell me that they signed up for AdultMaven after listening to the show. People are listening to the show and taking a notice in AdultMaven. That's the idea.
The better the site does the better we do. The more we promote the site, the better AdultMaven does thus the better we do. It's win-win for everyone. This is why you want to promote your reviews.
5. Promote your RSS feed. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It's what this image is for in your profile box -

That image links to your RSS feed. By clicking on that people can subscribe directly to your reviews and get them delivered straight to their email box. If people enjoy your reviews they will subscribe where they don't miss any of them.
One you can promote your RSS feed include signing up at widgetbox (www.widgetbox.com) and use your RSS feed to make a blidget. I did this two days ago and I already have four people subscribed to my blidget reading my reviews from it.
There are other ideas out there, these are just the ones that I have had the best luck with. If you have any questions feel free to ask and I will do what I can to help you.
